Crafted by Master Artisans. Since Generations.

Each ITQĀSH shawl is born in Kashmir — hand-woven on Kani looms or hand-embroidered with Sozni needlework by master craftsmen whose families have practised this art for centuries.

The Art of Kani Weaving

A single Kani shawl takes three to eighteen months to complete. Every thread is interlocked by hand on a wooden loom using small wooden bobbins — no needles, no machines. No two shawls are ever the same.

The design is encoded in a talim — an ancient notation system passed between masters and apprentices for centuries. To wear a Kani shawl is to carry that living knowledge.

The rhythmic click of the loom weaves history into every fine woolen thread. Each piece stands as an enduring monument to the patience and brilliance of Kashmir's finest weavers.

Sozni — The Language of the Needle

Sozni embroidery is Kashmir's most delicate art form. Master embroiderers work for months on a single piece, following floral and geometric patterns passed down through generations.

Each stitch is placed by hand using a single needle on pure Pashmina — no frame, no hoop, only memory and decades of practice guiding every mark.

This complex technique creates a completely reversible pattern, making the front and back of the fabric identical. The final creation becomes a timeless masterpiece, carrying the rich soul and heritage of Kashmiri culture.
